Method
Prepare the Wontons
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Mix well.
- Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold to seal.
Cook the Wontons
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the wontons and cook for about 5 minutes until they float to the surface.
- Remove the wontons with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Prepare the Broth
- In the same pot, add chicken broth, bok choy, mushrooms, soy sauce, and white pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked wontons back into the broth and heat through.
Serve
- Ladle the soup into bowls and serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
