Ingredients
  

Wontons
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
Broth
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup bok choy chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Wontons
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Mix well.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold to seal.
Cook the Wontons
  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the wontons and cook for about 5 minutes until they float to the surface.
  2. Remove the wontons with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Prepare the Broth
  1. In the same pot, add chicken broth, bok choy, mushrooms, soy sauce, and white pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Add the cooked wontons back into the broth and heat through.
Serve
  1. Ladle the soup into bowls and serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
