Ingredients
  

Coffee Base
  • 1 cup coarse ground coffee Choose a high-quality coffee for best flavor.
  • 4 cups cold water Filtered water is recommended.
Vanilla Syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Can substitute with a sweetener of choice.
  • 1 cup water For making the syrup.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for best results.
To Serve
  • 1 cup milk or cream Optional, for creaminess.

Method
 

Prepare Cold Brew
  1. In a cold brew coffee maker, combine the coarse ground coffee and cold water. Stir gently to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated.
  2. Cover and let steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
  3. After steeping, strain the coffee using a fine mesh sieve or the cold brew maker's filter.
Make Vanilla Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool.
Serve
  1. In a glass, add ice and pour in the cold brew coffee to fill halfway.
  2. Add vanilla syrup to taste and top with milk or cream if desired. Stir well and enjoy!
