Method
Prepare the Cake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
Soak the Cake
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk.
- Once the cake is cooled, poke holes all over the top using a fork or skewer.
- Pour the milk mixture evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Prepare the Topping
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top of the soaked cake.
- Optional: Garnish with fresh fruit or chocolate shavings.
