Method
Prepare the Peppers
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
Make the Filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add cooked rice, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Mix well and heat through.
- Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
Stuff the Peppers
- Spoon the filling mixture into each bell pepper, packing it tightly.
- Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
