  • 1 cup heavy cream Whipped to soft peaks for a light consistency.
  • to taste tablespoons sugar Sweetens the mixture.
For the Coffee Layer
  • 1 cup espresso or strong coffee Provides depth and contrast.
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur Optional; substitute with milk for non-alcoholic version.
For Assembly
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies Sponge-like cookies that absorb coffee.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder For dusting on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together matcha powder and hot water until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, blend mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  3. Gently fold in whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. Quickly dip ladyfinger cookies into the prepared matcha mixture.
  5. In a serving dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Dust the top with additional matcha powder just before serving.
