- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or to your desired consistency.
- Add the diced tomato, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, lime juice, and salt to the bowl.
- Mix everything together until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more lime juice or salt as desired.
- If using, fold in the chopped cilantro just before serving.
