  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown rice
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 cup green onions sliced, for garnish
Optional Toppings
  • 1 avocado sliced for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Rice
  1. Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
Cook the Beef
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add diced onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing well.
Assemble the Bowl
  1. In serving bowls, layer cooked rice and top with the beef mixture.
  2. Garnish with sliced green onions and optional toppings like avocado and sriracha.
