Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for flavor
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional for heat
Wraps
  • 1 head romaine lettuce leaves separated
  • 1 cup carrots shredded
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Assemble the Wraps
  1. Take a lettuce leaf and spoon a portion of the beef mixture into the center.
  2. Top with shredded carrots, cucumber slices, and green onions.
  3. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
