Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter natural, unsweetened

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the applesauce, beaten egg, and peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about 3/4 full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
