Ingredients
  

Herbs and Seasonings
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Liquids
  • 1/2 cup olive oil extra virgin recommended
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Finely chop the parsley and cilantro, and mince the garlic.
Mix the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped herbs, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Slowly whisk in the olive oil and red wine vinegar until well combined.
Adjust and Serve
  1. Taste the chimichurri and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve immediately or let it sit for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Chimichurri can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. It is great as a marinade or dipping sauce.
