Ingredients
  

For the Cheese Jalapeno Balls
  • 1 cup Cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Jalapenos finely chopped
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs for coating
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped jalapenos. Mix until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Form the cheese mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Roll each ball in the flour mixture, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the cheese balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a milder flavor, remove the seeds from the jalapenos before chopping.
