Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
Taco Assembly
  • 8 count corn tortillas or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 cup tomato diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
  2. Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
