Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups fresh peaches sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Topping
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup almond slivers
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine blueberries, sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss to coat the fruit evenly.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In another mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, almond slivers, melted butter, and cinnamon. Mix until crumbly.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread the fruit mixture evenly in a baking dish. Sprinkle the topping mixture over the fruit. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
