Ingredients
  

Sorbet Base
  • 4 cups fresh blackberries washed and stems removed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of blackberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice about 2 limes
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest for added flavor
  • 1 cup water to help blend

Method
 

Prepare the Blackberry Mixture
  1. In a blender, combine the blackberries, sugar, lime juice, lime zest, and water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired.
Chill and Freeze
  1. Pour the strained blackberry mixture into a mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
  2. Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  3. Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
Serve
  1. Scoop the sorbet into bowls and enjoy!
