Ingredients
  

Fruit Base
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries washed and stems removed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice about 4 limes
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest for added flavor
  • 1 cup water to dissolve sugar

Method
 

Prepare the Blackberry Mixture
  1. In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a blender, combine the blackberries, lime juice, lime zest, and the cooled sugar syrup. Blend until smooth.
Chill and Freeze
  1. Pour the blackberry mixture into a mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until chilled.
  2. Once chilled, pour the mixture into a sorbet maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  3. Transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
Serve
